Ora-ïto’s design for the Foodshelf kitchen offers an unexpected response to today’s call for contemporary home design solutions. In this highly contemporary range, kitchen and living areas are rendered fluid, multifunctional and unbounded, taking on the essence of a modern bookshelf, and a bold new horizontal linearity rarely experienced in conventional kitchen design. Centred on a series of timber-style shelving that runs the entire length of the kitchen and living area, the design offers variety of function across the different kitchen zones – in its worktops, base units under- strips, and hovering units. The Foodshelf design concept allows base and wall units with different colours to be combined, generating a subdivision of the kitchen into graphic blocks while retaining its convenient, modular structure.
